Colony purchased from Upscales LFS as small frag.  Colony has been in the tank for about 1 year at this point.

Jan '01

Colony is about 5" across and has grown more massive

Apr '01 The colony continues to grow rapidly and is now about 6" across.  It has been relocated because it was being attached by the green hydnophora that was growing behind it.
Jun '01 Coral has been moved to new tank

Lighting:  400W 10K MH  w/ actinics
Calcium:  450 - 500 
Alkalinity: 3.5 - 4.5meq/l 
Temp:  78 - 80

Jul '01 There has been significant growth in the last 4 weeks, primarily in the thickness of the branches.
Sep '01 Growth continues at a very fast pace as can be seen by the overlap with the corals to either side of it.  Colony is approximately  7" across.
May '02 This shot shows the birdnest in its position in the tank.  It is about 8" across and is now being fragged to keep it from getting any bigger.
Feb '03 This shows the birdnest coral behind the blue A. tortuosa.  Fragging keeps it at the current size.
